Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer as well as a model and actress. Her films are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). The daughter of a family of artists located in New York she wished to work in the field of art. When she was a photographer's assistant She turned her focus to modeling and acting. In her first two films her name was acknowledged and won the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw was a worldwide superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. After only three movies, she received the title of top female box-office debut in the world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were engraved in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. The actress has appeared in a variety of different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was released. MacGraw married three people.
