Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her works. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 1972 are among her most well-known films. Growing up in an artistic family living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. Her name was highlighted in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story was an international success, earning the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. After only three movies MacGraw was named one of the most successful women at the box office in history. At Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she had her signature and hand-footprints engraved. Her other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and many more. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw married three people.
