Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. Ali MacGraw is known for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Born and raised in an artistic family located in New York she wished to work in the field of art. When she was a photographer's assistant, she turned her attention towards modeling and acting. Her first two movies were noticed, and she was awarded the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw became a household name in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was selected for the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. In just three films, MacGraw was declared one of the most successful women in box office history. In 1972, her foot-prints along with her signature were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other credits include The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and other. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
