Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. She has produced more than 20 studio albums. DiFranco has released over 20 albums. Ani Difranco has been deemed as a feminist icon and a Grammy award winner. As one of women's first artists of the 1990s, DiFranco created her own label. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father is of Italian origins. Her song 32 Flavors was composed by her, and performed by Ani. This song was released in 1995 on the sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The track was included in the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999.
